Maintaining Appropriate Professional Boundaries (Online, 3 hours, 3 CEUs)

Professional boundaries are a critical component of effective workplace dynamics, shaping the way individuals interact with each other in a professional setting. Maintaining Appropriate Professional Boundaries is a 3-hour training course which includes a quiz at the end of this presentation. This training is required for licensed master social workers and licensed clinical social workers. The Board of Regents approved regulations on October 4, 2022 that require social workers, licensed and registered under Article 154 of the Education Law, to complete 3 hours of acceptable course work in appropriate professional boundaries, in each 3-year registration period starting April 1, 2023.

An online post-test is included at the end of the course, and it is required to successfully complete the course. At least 15/20 questions correct is required to pass the post-test. You have three attempts to successfully complete the post-test. If all three attempts are unsuccessful, you will have to pay again and retake the course.

Learning Objectives: The goal of this workshop is to provide information focusing on maintaining appropriate professional boundaries including recognizing inappropriate and applying appropriate professional boundaries.

IF THE COURSE IS NOT COMPLETED WITHIN SIX (6) WEEKS OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION, THE COURSE WILL BE DEREGISTERED AND ALL COURSE PROGRESS WILL BE FORFEITED. RE-REGISTRATION FOR THE COURSE WILL REQUIRE A NEW, SEPARATE PAYMENT. 

PAYMENT IS REQUIRED IN FULL PRIOR TO TAKING THE COURSE. IF CHARGES ARE REVERSED OR PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED, YOUR COURSE PROGRESS WILL BE DELETED AND YOUR CERTIFICATE WILL BE RENDERED INVALID.
